First Blog :)

Hi Everyone!! This is my very first blog, so I am very excited J I guess I should tell you a little about myself first. My name is Becky Kientz and I am one of the fabulous recruiters at Our Lady of Holy Cross College. I came to OLHCC in 2004 after I completed my Associates in Business Communication at Delgado. I knew that I wanted to continue my education, but I just wasn’t sure what school was right for me. As I was weighing my options for college, I met the Dean of the business department through my family. He told me that I would fit in great at Our Lady of Holy Cross College because of the small size and personal attention. Sure enough, I attended an Open House and LOVED it! I enrolled for the spring of 2004 and completed my Bachelors in Business Administration concentrating in Tourism Management in December of 2006.

            Shortly before I completed the program, in September of 2006, I was given the opportunity to work as the recruiter for OLHCC. That was an easy decision for me, talking about the school that I love and meeting new people, PERFECT!!

            So here I am! I am so excited to continue recruiting and meeting new people. Pretty soon, I will be posting upcoming events to let you know where you can meet me. Hello everyone!  My name is Randy Bourg and I am a Coordinator of Recruitment here at Our Lady of Holy Cross College.  This year we’ve had excellent responses to our on-campus and East Bank open houses.  We are very excited to announce our very first Northshore Open House.  The Northshore Open House will be held on April 30 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Holiday Inn in Covington, 501 N. Crawfish Bowl!!!

Hello fellow Alumni, my name is Keith Taranto (’01) and I am the President of the Alumni Association. I wanted to remind everyone of the upcoming Annual Crawfish Bowl. This GREAT event will be held this Sunday, March 30. Mass will be at 11:00 AM and the crawfish bowl is from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The Alumni Association will be having a bake sale and other student organizations will be out selling various treats. There will also be space walks and other fun activities for the kids.  Come visit the campus and get reconnected to your Alma Mata. We hope to see you there!!!!
